Stolen forklift used in southwest Las Vegas ATM robbery attempt

Las Vegas police are searching for two people who stole a forklift Thursday morning and tried to rob an ATM in the southwest valley.

Metropolitan Police Lt. Chris Holmes said the pair stole the forklift and then used it to knock over an ATM near Buffalo Drive and Flamingo Road. The attempted robbery was reported just after 4 a.m. Thursday.

Holmes said the robbers didn’t manage to take any money, and fled the scene.
