A 50-year-old Long Beach, Calif., resident is suing Caesars Entertainment after allegedly contracting Legionnaires’ disease while staying at the Rio hotel in Las Vegas. Christopher Moncado was hospitalized six months ago.
He sent Caesars, which owns the Rio, his medical records and hospital bills. His attorney says he has not received a response.
There have been 7 confirmed cases and 28 suspected cases of the disease.
The investigation is still ongoing as the health district continues to receive intermittent reports of infection from hotel guests.
