Man hospitalized after he was shot in central Las Vegas

A man is in the hospital after a shooting in central Las Vegas early Wednesday morning.

Just before 6:15 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department dispatchers received a call from the man, who said he’d been shot multiple times at 764 E. Twain Ave., near Swenson Street.

The man was transported to University Medical Center’s trauma unit with nonlife-threatening injuries.

Metro spokesman Michael Rodriguez said no arrests have been made. He added that police believe the incident was gang-related.
