The country with the most Winter Olympics medals is Norway with 329. The oldest competitor was Carl August Kronlund from Sweden, who was 58 years old during the 1924 Winter Games. The youngest competitor was Cecilia Colledge from Great Britain, who was 11 years old when she competed in 1932. Ole Einar Bjørndalen from Norway holds the record for most medals won with 13 total (eight gold, four silver and one bronze). This year’s Winter Olympics will be in Pyeongchang, South Korea and will feature 15 sports across 102 different events. According to the organizing committee, there will be 2,925 athletes competing from 92 countries. The 2018 Winter Olympics will begin on Friday, February 9 at 6 a.m. ET.
