Man killed in east Las Vegas when mobile home falls on him

One man was killed Thursday afternoon in the east Las Vegas Valley when a mobile home he was working on fell on him, county fire officials said.

The Clark County Fire Department was alerted just after 2 p.m. to the accident on the 4900 block of Hildago Way, near Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road, Deputy Fire Chief John Steinbeck said.

Fire officials notified Las Vegas police about the accident at approximately 2:15 p.m., police spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.

State OSHA officials were notified and dispatched to the scene. Investigations that include fatalities can take months to conclude, agency spokeswoman Teri Williams said.
