Roundup: Jasmine Richardson’s layup lifts Basic to OT win

Jasmine Richardson’s layup with three seconds left in overtime gave Basic’s girls basketball team a 57-54 road victory over Desert Pines on Tuesday.

Richardson finished with a game-high 22 points. Alexis Lea and Sierra McLean each scored 11 points for Basic, which was 19-for-33 from the free-throw line.

Desert Pines’ Zeyana Pattillo scored 21 points, including a three-point play with five seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime. Elasjanae Burns added 10 points for the Jaguars.

Faith Lutheran 52, Shadow Ridge 46 — At Shadow Ridge, Kelsey Howryla scored 14 points as the Crusaders held off the Mustangs.

Taylor Etopio added 13 points for Faith Lutheran, which trailed by two after one quarter but led 15-11 at halftime.

Jamia Carter had 13 points, and Caitlyn Covington scored 12 for Shadow Ridge.

Rancho 38, Western 26 — At Rancho, Saipress Jones had 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Rams to the win over the Warriors.

Kristal Sullivan supplied eight points and 13 rebounds for Rancho, which led 22-8 at halftime.

Adrianna Jones scored a game-high 16 points for Western.

Cimarron-Memorial 72, Bonanza 34 — At Cimarron, Yesenia Wesley-Nash had 25 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and five steals to help the Spartans roll past the Bengals.

Elise Young added 18 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and five steals for Cimarron, which led 20-9 after one quarter.

Arlaya Dupree scored 11 for the Spartans.

Macyn Raleigh led Bonanza with 13 points, and teammate Aaliyah Booker scored 10.

Boulder City 53, Durango 27 — At Boulder City, Setia Cox and Keely Alexander each scored 13 points as the Eagles defeated the Trailblazers.

Ellie Howard added 12 points for Boulder City, which led 29-17 at halftime and held Durango scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Laila Loring scored 12 points for Durango.

Laughlin 41, Indian Springs 5 — At Laughlin, Alexis Rios scored 10 points as the Cougars throttled the Thunderbirds.

Ashley Bishop added eight points for Laughlin, which opened the game on a 33-3 run and held Indian Springs scoreless in the middle quarters.
