Democracy Prep dominates Western

Keionte Scott caught three passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns to propel Democracy Prep to a 35-6 road win over Western on Friday.

The Blue Knights led 28-0 at half, but their offense stagnated in the second half.

Democracy Prep (3-7, 2-3 Sunset League) running back Ramon Green had an 80-yard touchdown run with 4:33 to go in the third quarter to extend the lead to 35-0.

The Blue Knights had a fairly balanced attack on offense, finishing with 185 yards on the ground and 139 through the air.

Democracy Prep quarterback Amar Smith was 7-for-12 with three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Jeremiah Towns caught an 80-yard touchdown pass from Hashaun Blackburn with 2:53 to play for the lone Western (0-9, 0-5) highlight.
