Roundup: Doubles team leads Basic over Silverado

Colton Banks and Chris Jepson went 3-0 in doubles for Basic’s boys tennis team Tuesday as the Wolves downed host Silverado, 12-6.

Carlos Sanchez La Fuente was 3-0 in singles, and teammate Gabriel Koukkala went 2-1 in singles for Basic.

Andrew Maxwell and Zack Johnson were 2-0 in doubles, and Owen Cox was 2-1 in singles play for Silverado.

Clark 12, Tech 6 — At Clark, Shanil Jayaweera and Mathew Spagnolo went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Chargers over the Roadrunners.

Andrew Lu and Jonathan Kwok were 2-0 in doubles for Clark.

Faith Lutheran 12, Legacy 6 — At Legacy, Maxwell Blum was 3-0 in singles as the Crusaders topped the Longhorns.

Taylor Pettigrew and Blake Kelly were 3-0 in doubles for the Crusaders, and teammate Juno Suwanduan was 2-1 in singles.

Moapa Valley 11, Virgin Valley 7 — At Overton, Luke Hauver went 3-0 in singles to lead the Pirates over the Bulldogs.

Roy Hoe was 2-0 in singles, and Lade Graham and Hunter Wrzesinski teamed to go 2-0 in doubles for Moapa Valley.

The teams of Chad Abbott and Gage Hughes, and David Vogel and Ethan Levitt, each went 2-1 for Virgin Valley.

Foothill 10, Valley 8 — At Foothill, the Falcons held on to beat the Vikings.

Nick Jianu went 3-0 in singles for Valley.

Green Valley 13, Durango 5 — At Durango, Andre Millett was 3-0 in singles to help the Gators best the Trailblazers.

Arjay Angus went 2-1 in singles for Durango.

Bishop Gorman 13, Liberty 5 — At Liberty, Oliver Filipovic went 2-0 in singles to help the Gaels march past the Patriots.

Desert Oasis 15, Sierra Vista 3 — At Sierra Vista, Max Pretner and Reed Schaefer went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Diamondbacks over the Mountain Lions.

Coronado 17, Spring Valley 1 — At Coronado, three ’ doubles teams went 2-0 to help the Cougars cruise past the Grizzlies.

The teams of Scott Hobbs and Richard Byun, Ethan Quandt and Sebastian Frace, and Colin Peltier and Akhil Mohan each went 3-0.

Aiden Benoualid was 3-0 in singles for Coronado.

Las Vegas 17, Cheyenne 1 — At Las Vegas High, the Wildcats dispatched the Desert Shields.

Arbor View 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Aggies won by forfeit.

Del Sol 12, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Del Sol, the Dragons defeated the Trojans by forfeit.

Rancho 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Rams won by forfeit over the Warriors.
