Roundup: Moapa Valley beats rival Virgin Valley on tiebreaker

Britnee Leavitt went 2-0 in singles to help Moapa Valley’s girls tennis team edge visiting Virgin Valley 10-9 on a tiebreaker Tuesday.

Moapa Valley won the tiebreaker, 5-1.

Virgin Valley’s Emma Wilson was 3-0 in singles, and Elise Dick and Willa German teamed to go 3-0 in doubles for the Bulldogs.

Sierra Vista 10, Desert Oasis 8 — At Sierra Vista, the doubles teams of Justice Favella-Potes and Elena Chau, and Taylore Edwards and Jessica Schneider, each went 2-1 to lead the Mountain Lions past the Diamondbacks.

Karina Damian and Ziumary Romero went 3-0 in doubles for Desert Oasis, and Raquel Roshak was 2-0 in singles for the Diamondbacks.

Basic 11, Silverado 7 — At Silverado, Mikayla Berg was 3-0 in singles to help the Wolves top the Skyhawks.

Kathryn Carder and Morgan Seiler went 3-0 in doubles for Silverado, and teammate Catherine Snow was 2-1 in singles.

Green Valley 11, Durango 7 — At Durango, Stella Chong and Paola Velasquez went 2-1 in doubles to help the Gators defeat the Trailblazers.

Maggi Concannon and Matti Concannon went 3-0 in doubles for Durango.

Clark 11, Tech 7 — At Clark, the Chargers beat the Roadrunners.

Sandra Lu and Jacqueline Pacheco went 3-0 in doubles for Tech.

Faith Lutheran 13, Legacy 5 — At Legacy, the doubles teams of Summer Stadtlander and Kelsie Seigle, and Megan Parrish and Paige Truman both went 2-0 to lead the Crusaders over the Longhorns.

Italia Jones was 3-0 in singles for Legacy.

Las Vegas 13, Cheyenne 5 — At Las Vegas High, the Wildcats beat the Desert Shields.

Carla Batalan and Perla Gaytan went 3-0 in doubles, and Kennedy Vincent was 2-0 in singles for Cheyenne.

Foothill 12, Valley 6 — At Foothill, Abbey Flinders and Emma Grant went 2-0 in doubles play as the Falcons defeated Vikings.

Kristel Peralta was 2-0 in singles for Foothill.

Bishop Gorman 15, Liberty 3 — At Liberty, Courtney Wolfson and Madison Winston went 2-0 in doubles as the Gaels beat the Patriots.

Coronado 16, Spring Valley 2 — At Coronado, Sophia Potamitis and Rayne Hayes went 3-0 in doubles, and Sydney Osburn was 3-0 in singles as the Cougars easily defeated the Grizzlies.

Jessica Duff and Mana Iritani went 2-0 in doubles for Coronado.

Nicole Attallah went 2-1 in singles for Spring Valley.

Arbor View 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Aggies won by forfeit.

Del Sol 12, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Del Sol, the Dragons defeated the Trojans by forfeit.

Rancho 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Rams won by forfeit over the Warriors.
