Roundup: Ashtyn Fink powers Gorman to pair of wins

Ashtyn Fink scored twice on Saturday as Bishop Gorman’s girls soccer team blanked Douglas 2-0 in the south Tahoe Invitational in South Lake Tahoe, California.

Gorman went 4-0 in the tournament, and Fink scored 12 goals.

Kirsten Kircher had one save in the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 4, South Tahoe 1 — At South Lake Tahoe, California, Fink’s hat trick led the Gaels over the Vikings in the South Tahoe Invitational.

Jacqueline Hillegas had a goal and an assist for the Gaels.

Faith Lutheran 5, North Valleys 0 — At Reno, Kadyn Lane’s two goals powered the Crusaders by the Panthers in the Howell Memorial Tournament.

Maggie Shuirman, Amelia McManus and Hannah Thomas all scored for Faith Lutheran, and Madison Sonerholm had two assists.

Jordan Brown and Naia Mesalic split the shutout for the Crusaders.

Damonte Ranch 3, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Reno, Sonerholm scored twice, but the Crusaders fell to the Mustangs in the Howell Memorial Tournament.

Shuirman had an assist for Faith Lutheran.
