Roundup: Riana Mission leads Clark to Southwest League victory

Riana Mission carded a 1-under-par 59 at Desert Willow on Tuesday to earn medalist honors and help Clark’s girls golf team win a Southwest League match.

Stephanie Yang added a 60 for the Chargers, who shot 258 as a team. Bishop Gorman was second at 269, followed by Sierra Vista at 314 and Silverado with a 407.

Gorman’s Logan Allen and Sierra Vista’s Caroline Valle each shot 63. Sierra Vista’s Aliyah Williams carded a 64.

Coronado wins Southeast match

At Legacy Golf Club, Victoria Estrada earned medalist honors with a 3-over 75 and led Coronado to victory in a Southeast League match.

Crystle Querol added a 78, and Elle Hahn shot 87 for the Cougars, who had a team score of 338. Tech was second at 361. Green Valley (373) was third, followed by Liberty (416) and Basic (454).

Cassidy Phelan shot 78 to lead the Roadrunners. Ahja Crosby added an 87 for Tech.

Pahrump takes Sunset match

At Aliante, Breanne Nygaard shot a 4-over 76 to earn medalist honors and lead Pahrump Valley to a win in a Sunset League match.

The Trojans, who shot 381, were the only team to post a score as no other school had at least four golfers.

Makalea Petrie added a 93, and Jessica Pearson shot 98 for Pahrump.

Western’s Carolyn Lemon shot 89.
