Roundup: Joel Sanchez scores 6 goals in Desert Pines win

Joel Sanchez scored six goals Thursday for the Desert Pines boys soccer team in an 8-0 victory over Virgin Valley in Mesquite.

Erick Santillan added a goal and an assist, and Jared Andres scored for the Jaguars, who scored seven second-half goals.

Bryan Vazquez-Rojas had five assists for Desert Pines. Lorenzo Perez and Jonathan Reyes combined on the shutout.

Arbor View 4, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Ethan Boone had two goals to lead the Aggies to victory over the Cowboys.

Nicholas Walker had a goal and an assist for Arbor View, and teammate Cameron Kornock had a goal.

Alexander Caro-Herrera scored for Chaparral.

Las Vegas 8, Green Valley 5 — At Las Vegas High, Nathan Zamora and Luis Hernandez each had two goals and an assist to lead the Wildcats over the Gators.

Daniel Rangel had a goal and three assists, Manual Alfaro had a goal and an assist and Enilson Contreras and Moises Tapia each scored once for Las Vegas.

The Wildcats led 5-0 at the half.

Elujah DeLeon had three goals for the Gators, and Kai Zurflueh had a goal and an assist. Green Valley’s Stuart Gallardo scored, and Brandon Weingartner had two assists.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Angel Arreola had two goals and an assist in the Miners’ win over the Patriots.

Jonzo Jimenez-Vasquez also scored for Sunrise Mountain

Enrique Perez made five saves to get the shutout.

Canyon Springs 5, Spring Valley 1 — At Canyon Springs, Josue Figueroa had two goals and two assists to lead the Grizzlies to a victory over the Pioneers.

Juan Santillan added a goal and two assists, and Leo Cruz and Jose Gonzalez each had one goal for Spring Valley.

Dominic Velasco scored for the Pioneers.

Del Sol 5, SLAM Academy 0 — At SLAM Academy, Diego Montes had two goals and two assists to help the Dragons to a victory over the Bulls.

Luis Fernandez-Martinez and Luis Mendoza each had one goal for Del Sol, and teammate Cezar Lezama had a goal and an assist.

Jesus Gallardo recorded the shutout for the Dragons.

Valley 9, Cheyenne 1 — At Valley, Samuel Milange had four goals and three assists to lead the Vikings in a rout of the Desert Shields.

Shadrack Milenge scored twice, and Axel Leon had three assists for Valley.

Arturo Vizcarra, Jesus Rodriguez-Romero and Victor Hernandez-Ramierz all scored for Valley.
