Dylan San Nicolas gives Liberty 8-inning win over Silverado

Dylan San Nicolas had an RBI single in the top of the eighth inning Saturday, and Jordan Bohnet struck out two to lock down the save in Liberty baseball’s 5-4, eight-inning road win against Silverado.
Mason Bowden singled to start the eighth, and Kaeden Camat-Toki bunted him to second. Bowden scored on the hit by San Nicolas.
Garrett Maloney started for Liberty, and pitched 5⅔ innings and allowed two unearned runs. The Patriots led 4-2 going to the bottom of the seventh, but the Skyhawks scored twice to tie it.
Ethan Safier doubled and knocked in two for the Patriots, and Camat-Toki had a pair of doubles. Liberty’s Zanden Shim doubled, and San Nicolas was 2-for-3.
Caleb Hubbard doubled twice for the Skyhawks, and Sean Graves had a triple. Tyler Paasche pitched three shutout innings of relief for Silverado.
