Roundup: Faith Lutheran rallies to beat Arbor View

Maggie Whipple scored the game-winning run in the seventh inning Tuesday as Faith Lutheran’s softball team rallied to edge host Arbor View, 6-5.

Faith Lutheran trailed 5-3 going into the seventh. Winning pitcher Sophie Foster had an RBI in the game, and Faith Lutheran took advantage of five errors and six walks by Arbor View.

Hannah Hickstein went 3-for-3 with an RBI for Arbor View.

Palo Verde 5, Centennial 0 — At Palo Verde, Kendall Hopkins tossed a two-hitter with nine strikeouts and hit a double as the Panthers blanked the Bulldogs.

Makall Whetten hit a three run homer for the Panthers.

Palo Verde’s Lauryn Barker had a double and two RBIs, and Grace Chavez supplied a double.

Desert Oasis 11, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Paisley Garcia struck out eight over a three-hit shutout, and went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs to lead the Diamondbacks over the Grizzlies.

Meghan McInerney had three RBIs and two runs for the Diamondbacks, and Holly Severance was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.

Ruby Martinez and Maggie Shepard both had two RBIs for Desert Oasis.

Cimarron-Memorial 15, Legacy 4 — At Cimarron, Reagan Wadsworth and Mya’Liah Bethea each homered as the Spartans beat the Longhorns in six innings.

Bethea had five RBIs, and Wadsworth had two RBIs. Both finished with two runs scored.

Diona Whitley tripled for the Spartans, and Shelby Telford, Nicole Lopez, Nikki LaBounty and Tiarra Del Rosario all doubled.

Kaleah Alapati doubled for the Longhorns.

Durango 13, Bonanza 0 — At Durango,winning pitcher Trinity Valentine struck out 12 and didn’t allow a run in a five-inning, no-hit victory for the Trailblazers over the Bengals.

Geraldo, Boyce and Valentine all went 2-for-3 with a double.

Boulder City 14, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Lily Osman went 4-for-4 with two doubles, and Ellie Ramsey was 3-for-4 as the Eagles routed the Cowboys in five innings.

Jerra Hinson was 2-for-3 with a triple, and Marleena Mills hit a double for Boulder City, which led 5-1 after one inning.

Losi Brown and Losa Laolagi each hit a double for Chaparral.

Bishop Gorman 19, Clark 0 — At Gorman, Monique Passalacqua doubled and knocked in four as the Gaels routed the Chargers in three innings.

Mia Weckel was 3-for-3 with two RBIs for the Gaels, and Mia Schwartz was 2-for-2.

Sarah Aguilar and Darian Pancirov combine don Gorman’s no-hitter.

Moapa Valley 18, Virgin Valley 1 — At Overton, Kaitlyn Anderson was 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and an inside-the-park grand slam to power the Pirates past the Bulldogs in three innings.

Abbie Evans went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer for Moapa Valley, which got the win in the circle from Emilie Barraza.

Savannah Price supplied an RBI single to lead Virgin Valley.

Del Sol 24, Tech 6 — At Tech, Selena Erickson was 5-for-5 with a double and two RBIs for the Dragons in their five-run win over the Roadrunners.

Noa Bowie went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Del Sol, and Jazmine Rivera pitched a complete game.

Melissa Fuller was 2-for-2 with an RBI for Tech.

Laughlin 18-21, Democracy Prep 0-6 — At Laughlin, the Cougars swept a doubleheader from the Blue Knights.
