Roundup: Cimarron’s Elie Kligman fires no-hitter in win over Crusaders

Freshman Elie Kligman fired a no-hitter on Tuesday to lead the Cimarron-Memorial baseball team to a 6-0 road win over Faith Lutheran.

Kligman struck out two and walked three.

Zach Culver went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI for Cimarron. Trevor Doyle was 2-for-3 with two runs, and Seth Hoffman was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for the Spartans.

Green Valley 6, Liberty 5 — At Green Valley, Max Leuga hit a two-run homer to left field with one out in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Gators over the Patriots.

Garrett Nelson walked with one out, setting up Leuga’s game-winning hit.

Jake Empey was 2-for-3 with a run, and Gavin Amelburu and Scott Gruber each went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Green Valley.

Zanden Shim was 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs for Liberty. James Katona went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for the Patriots.

Centennial 9, Arbor View 4 — At Arbor View, Zack Simon went the distance and hit a grand slam to highlight an eight-run seventh as the Bulldogs defeated the Aggies.

The game was tied 1-1 going into the seventh, but Centennial exploded for eight runs to take a 9-1 lead.

Arbor View answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning, but Simon got out of the jam to get the win. He allowed seven hits and struck out five.

Simon was 3-for-3, and Trevor Wright, Kian Wilbur and Zachary Hare each went 2-for-4 with a run for Centennial. Wilbur had a double, and Austin Kryszczuk added a double and two RBIs for the Bulldogs.

Bradley Stone was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI to lead Arbor View. Trey Urban went 2-for-3 with a double, and Austin Pfeifer allowed one run on five hits over six innings for the Aggies. Pfeifer struck out seven with five walks.

Silverado 7, Rancho 3 — At Rancho, Blake Zorne was 2-for-2 with two RBIs as the Skyhawks downed the Rams.

Nikolas Cortez supplied two hits, a run and an RBI for Silverado, which got the win from Grant McCarty.

Joey Walls had a two-run home run for Rancho.

Basic 8, Las Vegas 3 — At Basic, John Howard Bobo led off the game with a home run as the Wolves topped the Wildcats.

Kyle Turner doubled twice for Basic. Nick Thompson had a single, a triple, a run, two RBIs and a stolen base for the Wolves, who got two hits apiece from Trace Evans and Dominik Tavares.

Payton Miller smacked a solo homer, and Joel Lindahl had two hits and an RBI to lead Las Vegas.

Palo Verde 10, Shadow Ridge 5 — At Shadow Ridge, Josiah Cromwick was 2-for-4 with two homers and five RBIs to power the Panthers over the Mustangs.

Bryce Robison and Jaret Godman each added a solo home run, and Peyton Cole went 3-for-4 for Palo Verde.

Brandon Tressler was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Shadow Ridge.

Desert Oasis 9, Sierra Vista 3 — At Desert Oasis, Chaison Miklich was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and the Diamondbacks scored six runs in the first inning en route to an easy win over the Mountain Lions.

Cole Schaefer had two hits, and Jordan DeMarce supplied a two-run double for Desert Oasis. Izzy Gutierrez earned the win, and Aaron Roberts struck out seven in three innings of relief for the Diamondbacks.

Daymien Yohner went 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead Sierra Vista.

Spring Valley 11, Clark 4 — At Spring Valley, Donovan Souder allowed a run on three hits in five innings with seven strikeouts as the Grizzles defeated the Chargers.

Soudere also had two hits and an RBI.

Jonathan Bakken was 3-for-3, and teammate Chase Rodriguez supplied two hits and three RBIs for Spring Valley, which got two hits and two RBIs from Braxton Bruschke.

Koby Cornejo had two hits, and Kelsey Brooke tripled to lead Clark.

Bishop Gorman 10, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Tyler Curtis was 2-for-2 with a triple, three runs and three RBIs as the Gaels routed the Bengals in five innings.

John Gaughan went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Carson Wells was 2-for-3 with three runs for Gorman.

Dutch Landis allowed one hit in four innings to get the win. He struck out six and walked four.

Foothill 12, Valley 2 — At Foothill, Jacob Heiselbetz was 2-for-2 with a run and three RBIs, and Chris Ranieri went 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs to help the Falcons to the five-inning victory over the Vikings.

Zack Martinez was 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI, and Kelton Lachelt was 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run for Foothill.

Tyler Kara added a double and two RBIs for the Falcons.

Evan Ringler went the distance, allowing two unearned runs on five hits. He struck out six walked two.

Canyon Springs 13, Eldorado 2 — At Eldorado, Trevor Berkemeyer was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and three RBIs to help the Pioneers defeat the Sundevils.

Martin Blake was 3-for-4 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs for Canyon Springs, which scored six runs in the top of the seventh.

Luis Osorio-Avila went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs for the Pioeners.

Aiden Moriarty allowed two runs on six hits in six innings to get the win. He struck out four with no walks.

Christian Younger was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Eldorado.

Virgin Valley 10, Parowan (Utah) 0 — At Mesquite, Cade Anderson pitched a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts as the Bulldogs beat the Rams in six innings.

Anderson also went 1-for-2 with three runs for Virgin Valley.

Indian Springs 15, Tonopah 0 — At Indian Springs, Dillon Pollock went 2-for-2 with four RBIs as the Thunderbirds routed the Muckers in four innings.

Elyas Jones pitched three hitless innings with seven strikeouts to get the win. He also went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Wrench Perry was 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI for Indian Springs.

Calvary Chapel 15, Mountain View 0 — At Calvary Chapel, three pitchers combined on a no-hitter as the Lions blanked the Saints in four innings.
