Benjamin Sawaia, Coronado

The junior shot 4-under-par 68 with seven birdies to help the Cougars win a Southeast League match at Anthem. He also hit an eagle and a birdie on the last two holes to beat Bishop Gorman in a dual meet at Anthem.

Ryan Watkins, Sierra Vista

The sophomore had three home runs, including two grand slams, and 14 RBIs in three Southwest League victories for the Mountain Lions.

Boys Swimming

Alexsander Johannesen, Valley

The senior posted a pair of freestyle victories against Virgin Valley, winning the 50-yard freestyle in 21.97 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 49.79.

Girls Swimming

Lily Jesperson, Foothill

The junior won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:50.19 and the 200 individual medley in 2:28.69 in a 202-77 victory over Las Vegas.

Keyon White, Canyon Springs

The senior swept the hurdles at the Arbor View Invitational, taking the 110-meter hurdles in 16.85 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 42.03.

Olivia Smith, Bishop Gorman

The junior, who also plays volleyball and basketball, set a new school record in the triple jump with a distance of 37 feet, 9½ inches.

Pascual Chavez, Liberty

The junior outside hitter had 18 kills in a 25-11, 20-25, 19-25, 26-24, 15-8 victory over Legacy.
