Centennial reaches championship, but falls in finals of Las Vegas Easter Invitational
The Centennial boys volleyball team won nine matches at the Las Vegas Easter Invitational on Tuesday, but fell in the finals to Brophy Prep (Arizona), 22-25, 20-25.
The Bulldogs started the day with a 25-23, 25-17 victory over Mesa (Arizona), then defeated Cheyenne, the first of four local opponents, 25-12, 25-13. Centennial also beat Sierra Vista, Las Vegas High and Shadow Ridge.
Among non-local teams, the Bulldogs defeated Kennedy (California), Eagle Rock (California), Buchanan (California) and Clovis (California).
