Roundup: Madisyn McArthur guides Foothill past Basic

Foothill’s Madisyn McArthur threw four touchdown passes on Wednesday as the Falcons topped host Basic, 26-13.

McArthur completed 21 of 28 passes for 260 yards with one interception.

Amanda Carducci caught three passes for 21 yards and two scores, and Whitley Brow had five catches for 68 yards and a touchdown for Foothill.

Maddie Melton hauled in a 58-yard scoring pass for the Falcons, and teammate Sydney Babakitis had eight catches for 96 yards.

Julia Lynch had 13 tackles, and Niyah King recorded 12 tackles for Foothill.

Basic’s Marissa Owens completed 15 of 31 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns.

Hailey Wray had six catches for 73 yards and a touchdown, and Caylin Tran also had a touchdown reception for the Wolves.

Green Valley 39, Silverado 6 — At Silverado, Christina Mayberry caught five passes for 74 yards and a touchdown and had a 28-yard interception return for a score to help the Gators rout the Skyhawks.

Jennifer Haberstock was 16-for-23 passing, threw a scoring pass to Brooke Hijar, and rushed for a touchdown for Green Valley.

Theresa Caruso and Alexia Rojas each had a touchdown run for the Gators, who led 20-0 at halftime.

Jemalyn Dacanay caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Katie Mulligan for Silverado.

Shadow Ridge 33, Arbor View 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Jordan Ford had 24 carries for 192 yards and four touchdowns as the Mustangs blanked the Aggies.

Kayla Flores also had a rushing score for Shadow Ridge, which got two sacks from Dayvian Diaz, and an interception from Aileen Hinojos-Diaz.

Vanessa Almanzor had eight tackles for the Mustangs.

Cimarron-Memorial 47, Centennial 14 — At Cimarron, Tiarra Del Rosario was 24-for-28 passing for 313 yards and six touchdowns as the Spartans drubbed the Bulldogs.

Samantha Silva had five catches for 129 yards and four touchdowns, Catherine Javan rushed for 63 yards on seven carries with a score, and Mya Bethea and Alejandra Rojas each caught a touchdown pass for Cimarron, which led 21-0 at halftime.

Coronado 41, Liberty 0 — At Coronado, Caitlin Shannon had five touchdown passes and the Cougars rolled past the Patriots.

Shannon completed 13 of 21 passes for 169 yards.

Amanda Burt rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries, and Sydnee Hansen hauled in five passes for 75 yards and three touchdowns for Coronado.

Jensen Boman and Reagan Raimer also had touchdown catches for the Cougars. Giovanna Coelho added seven tackles and two sacks for Coronado.

Desert Pines 19, Western 0 — At Western, the Jaguars blanked the Warriors.

Shydae Elam had eight carries for 75 yards for Western, which got 11 tackles from Ashley Medina.

Cheyenne 34, Mojave 0 — At Cheyenne, the Desert Shields shut out the Rattlers.

Palo Verde 26, Legacy 14 — at Legacy, the Panthers beat the Longhorns.

Legacy’s Mikaela Nunez had 10 tackles and two interceptions. She returned one interception 78 yards for a touchdown.
