Roundup: Kyndal Ricks, Rancho rally to top No. 10 Canyon Springs

Kyndal Ricks scored 21 points and Rancho’s girls basketball team rallied for a 50-48 road win over No. 10 Canyon Springs on Thursday.

Lea Williams had 13 points, and Saipress Jones added 12 points for the Rams, who outscored the Pioneers 22-13 in the fourth quarter.

Jeanette Fine scored 17 points to lead the Pioneers.

J’hane Richardson had 11 points, and teammate Kayla Johnson scored 10 for Canyon Springs.

Valley 33, Eldorado 32 — At Eldorado, Jeuzel Pollins scored 18 points, and teammate Debra Schuster knocked down the game-winning free throw as the Vikings edged the Sundevils.

Demari Sprinkle-Blakney added eight points for Valley.

LaDavia Pierson scored 10 points, and Roshonda Stevens had nine points to lead Eldorado.

Clark 49, Bonanza 37 — At Bonanza, Marieka Dent scored 11 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Chargers over the Bengals.

Bonanza led 25-15 at the half, but Clark rallied in the second half and outscored the Bengals 19-7 in the fourth quarter to pull out the victory.

Julia Reid added 15 points for the Chargers.

Madeline Gonzalez led Bonanza with 12 points.

Virgin Valley 36, Del Sol 33 — At Mesquite, Nathalie Laganyo scored 13 points to help the Bulldogs down the Dragons.

Areli Ponce and Alexis Boatright each had six points for Virgin Valley.

Lajaei West scored 15 points, and teammate Jazmine Simpson had 12 points to lead Del Sol.

Desert Oasis 66, Durango 25 — At Durango, Kalena Halunajan scored 14 points to lead the Diamondbacks in a rout of the Trailblazers.

Eliyjah Pricebrooks scored 12 points, Dajaah Lightfoot scored 11 points, and Ahmaya Smith added 10 points for Desert Oasis, which connected on nine 3-pointers.

Analiyah Matthews scored seven points to lead Durango.

Bishop Gorman 65, Sierra Vista 39 — At Sierra Vista, Shaira Young and Lauren Solomon each scored 12 points as the Gaels rallied past the Mountain Lions.

Caira Young and Olivia Smith each added nine points for the Gaels, who outscored the Mountain Lions 40-13 in the second half to overcome an early deficit.

Iymoni Burrell scored 15 points to lead the Mountain Lions. Shania Harper added 12 points and 20 rebounds for Sierra Vista.

Boulder City 56, Chaparral 39 — At Boulder City, Madison Manns scored 14 points to lift the Eagles over the Cowboys.

Keely Alexander had 12 points, and Ellie Howard scored 10 for Boulder City, which used a 20-13 third-quarter run to take control.

Emani White scored 12 points, and Riahana Davis had 11 points for Chaparral.

Moapa Valley 54, Tech 13 — At Overton, Lainey Cornwall scored 12 points to lead the Pirates in a rout of the Roadrunners.

Kaitylyn Anderson scored eight points for Moapa Valley, which started the game on a 17-1 run.

GV Christian 34, Indian Springs 19 — At Indian Springs, Ariana Davis and Hope Watson each scored 10 points to lead the Guardians to a win over the Thunderbirds.

Chloe Lamb added eight points for GV Christian.

Kayla Noyes had six points to lead Indian Springs.

Lake Mead 46, Adelson School 6 — At Lake Mead, Rebekah Fuller scored 11 points to lead the Eagles in a rout of the Lions.

Lauryn Freund added 10 points for Lake Mead, which led 32-0 at halftime.

4A/3A girls state roundup: Legacy, Canyon Springs ousted

Legacy and Canyon Springs couldn’t keep up in the Class 4A girls basketball state semifinals. The Southern Region representatives in 3A also were eliminated.
