Roundup: Shadow Ridge wins pair of matches

Shadow Ridge’s wrestling team lost just two contested matches en route to a 45-33 home win over Las Vegas High on Tuesday.

The Mustangs won the four lightest weights by fall, then saw victories by fall from Kody Presser (152 pounds) and Noah Gallardo (160). Gabriel Talledo (106), Tehani Soares (113), Triston Curtis (120) and Weston Presser (126) won by fall.

Antonio Saldate had the Wildcats’ lone pinfall victory, winning his 132-pound match in 3 minutes, 14 seconds.

Shadow Ridge 41, Foothill 36 — At Shadow Ridge, Luke Sadosky pinned his opponent in 16 seconds at 220 pounds to clinch the Mustangs’ win over the Falcons.

Talledo (106), Tristan Curtis (120), Presser (152) and Gallardo (160) also won by fall for Shadow Ridge.

Foothill got pins from Robert Silva (113), Kohl Velado (132) and Wyatt English (145).

Las Vegas 47, Foothill 24 — At Shadow Ridge, Mauricio Jimenez won by pin in 12 seconds at 220 pounds as the Wildcats beat the Falcons.

Jared Najera (106), Daniel Law (152), Javion Bowman (182) and Kevin Mouncil (195) also had pins for Las Vegas. Saldate won by technical fall, 15-0, at 132 for the Wildcats.

Cole Kazel (126) and Julian Bradley (285) recorded falls for Foothill.
