Roundup: Alexis Peay lifts Moapa Valley over Mojave in OT

Alexis Peay completed 14 of 30 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns and ran in the winning 2-point conversion in overtime as Moapa Valley’s flag football team earned a 14-13 road win over Mojave on Wednesday.

Jessica Leon caught a 7-yard TD pass from Peay on the third play of overtime for the Pirates, who trailed 6-0 at halftime.

Maxime van der Laan had eight catches for 143 yards, including a 17-yard TD catch in the first half, for Moapa Valley.

Anahi Rosales had an 80-yard rushing score, and teammate Elena Salazar added a rushing TD to lead Mojave.

Green Valley 21, Sierra Vista 18 — At Green Valley, Jennifer Haberstock completed 14 of 24 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns as the Gators held off the Mountain Lions.

Jazlyn Camacho had seven catches for 97 yards and a touchdown, and Christina Mayberry had a rushing touchdown, nine tackles and an interception for Green Valley. Theresa Caruso added a rushing score for the Gators, who led 13-6 at halftime.

Jazmyn Martinez tossed three TD passes for Sierra Vista. Hola Rose Nakayama had two TD catches, and teammate Courtney O’Neal had a TD reception for the Mountain Lions.

Legacy 19, Clark 12 — At Clark, Mikaela Nunez caught four passes for 102 yards and two touchdown passes to lead the Longhorns past the Chargers.

Jalyn Joule threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns for Legacy, which led 7-0 at halftime.

Jaeda Centeno ran for a touchdown, caught a touchdown pass and finished with 160 total yards to lead Clark. Autumn Flowers had a team-high eight tackles to lead the defense.

Basic 21, Desert Oasis 12 — At Basic, Dre’Yahna Carter had 10 carries for 118 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown run, to lead the Wolves past the Diamondbacks.

Marissa Owens threw for 164 yards and two TDs for Basic. Kelsie Weber supplied a 12-yard TD catch, and teammate Skilar Hopkins provided a 15-yard scoring reception for the Wolves.

Bonanza 26, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Destiny Bradford led the Bengals with 11 tackles, a sack and an interception as they blanked the Eagles.

Cindylou Rasiang threw three touchdown passes, and Shayne Dunn caught two TD passes for Bonanza, which got 104 yards rushing from Charlene Beck.

Rancho 19, Sunrise Mountain 6 — At Sunrise Mountain, Talaya Williams had two touchdowns runs as the Rams topped the Miners.

Donnacia McCollough had two carries for 80 yards and a touchdown for Rancho, which led 13-6 at halftime.

Silverado 27, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, the Skyhawks stormed to a 13-0 halftime lead before routing the Grizzlies.

Diana Borboa-Perez had 10 tackles for Spring Valley.
