Roundup: Legacy squeaks by Shadow Ridge

Taeha Pankey scored 16 points Thursday to lead Legacy’s girls basketball team to a 46-42 home win over Shadow Ridge.

C’Aree Stevenson added 10 points, and Maiah Yearwood scored eight for the Longhorns, who trailed 32-30 after three quarters.

Christina Thames led the Mustangs with 12 points.

Cimarron-Memorial 50, Palo Verde 45 — At Palo Verde, Chynna Torrence scored 13 points, and the Spartans held off the Panthers.

Tasia Moore had 12 points, and Mary Jane Williams-Law added nine points for Cimarron.

Alyssa Maillaro had 17 points, and teammate Maya Bega scored 13 for Palo Verde, which got 11 points from Ariana Davis.

Green Valley 65, Las Vegas 37 — At Las Vegas High, Michelle Lagunas-Monroy scored 16 points to lead the Gators to a rout of the Wildcats.

Shelby Clark scored 15 points, and Temerity Bauer added 11 points for Green Valley, which opened the game on a 26-5 run.

Cortney Stark scored 11 points to lead the Wildcats.

Spring Valley 65, Foothill 26 — At Foothill, Chelsea Camara scored 13 points in the Grizzlies’ victory over the Falcons.

Garrisen Freeman scored 12 for Spring Valley, which led 32-15 at halftime.

Keilani Brown scored 11 points for the Falcons.

Liberty 71, Valley 21 — At Valley, Rae Burrell scored 18 points as the Patriots routed the Vikings.

Journey Augmon had 14 points for the Patriots, who also got 11 points from Dre’una Edwards and 10 points from Olivia Childress.

Jeuzel Pollins had 10 points to lead the Vikings.

Centennial 58, Naha Senior (Japan) 36 — At Honolulu, Justice Ethridge scored 14 points to lead the Bulldogs past Naha Senior in the quarterfinals of the Iolani Classic.

Taylor Bigby added 12 points for Centennial, which led 32-11 at the half and 44-17 after three quarters.

Bonanza 57, Word of Life 17 — At Bonanza, Madeline Gonzalez scored 10 points as the Bengals ran away from the Eagles.

Bonanza held the Eagles to single digits in every quarter, and outscored them 35-5 in the second half.

Lake Mead 54, Adelson School 14 — At Adelson School, Rebekah Fuller scored 14 points, and the Eagles held the Lions scoreless in the first half in a commanding victory.

Aaliyah Perkins scored 10 for Palo Verde.

Caroline Altman had eight points for Adelson School.
