Roundup: Del Sol scores two late goals to force draw with Chaparral

Del Sol’s boys soccer team scored two goals in a four-minute span late in the second half Tuesday to earn a 2-2 draw with visiting Chaparral.

Sergio Calderon had a goal and an assist for the Dragons, and teammate Daniel Barajas also scored.

Angelo Grossi and Emiliano Cortez each scored once for the Cowboys.

Sierra Vista 3, Bonanza 2 — At Sierra Vista, Daniel Perez scored on an assist by Sebastian Avalos with 13 minutes to play to give the Mountain Lions the win over the Bengals.

Justin Prescia and Tanner Erwin also scored, and Perez also had an assist for Sierra Vista.

Jonas Bryant scored both goals for Bonanza, which trailed 2-1 at the half.

Bishop Gorman 3, Spring Valley 2 — At Spring Valley, Corrigan Neville had a goal and an assist as the Gaels held on to beat the Grizzlies.

Cole Malm and Aidan Yamachika each added a goal for the Gaels, who scored all three goals in the first half.

Bum Cho and Patrick Falkensammer scored Spring Valley’s goals.

Desert Oasis 3, Clark 1 — At Clark, the Diamondbacks scored all three goals in the first half, including two by Erik Ramos, to get by the Chargers.

Kevin Nevinger also scored for Desert Oasis.

Tesfu Mebretom had Clark’s goal.

Virgin Valley 4, Moapa Valley 2 — At Overton, Christian Martinez, Luis Cruz-Sandoval, Miguel Escobedo, and Nathan Hulet each had a goal as the Bulldogs topped the Pirates.

Ramiro Corrales and Ethynn Fulman each scored a goal, and Bryan Robles and Tom Rohde each notched an assist for Moapa Valley.

Desert Pines 5, Tech 2 — At Desert Pines, Joel Sanchez had two goals and an assist to lead the Jaguars over the Roadrunners.

Eduardo Flores, Bryan Vazquez-Rojas and Brandon Najera each added a goal for Desert Pines, and teammate Erick Santillan had two assists.

Alan Lopez and Durand Farr each scored a goal for Tech.

Coronado 4, Silverado 1 — At Coronado, John Lynam had a goal and an assist to help the Cougars roll past the Skyhawks.

Justin Irungaray, Javier Vasquez, and Lincoln Aquino each added a goal for Coronado, which scored all of its goals in the first half. Grant Smyth supplied two assists for the Cougars.

Robert Duplessis scored on a free kick for Silverado.

Green Valley 6, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Vincent Vitellaro had two goals and an assist as the Gators took down the Falcons.

Thoren Kaufusi and Riley Scott each had a goal and an assist for the Gators, and teammates Nick Alvarez and Estevan Uribe each scored once.

Isaac Olson scored Foothill’s goal.

Liberty 9, Basic 2 — At Basic, Hayden Prasad and Ben Stang each scored three goals as the Patriots beat the Wolves.

Andrew Velasco added a goal and an assist, and Quinn Rankin and Maximillian Patton each added a goal for Liberty. Prasad had two assists, and Stang had one assist.

Elijah Buchanan had a goal and an assist to lead Basic, and teammate Pablo Sanchez scored a goal.

Boulder City 4, Somerset-Sky Pointe 1 — At Boulder City, the hosts rolled to the win.

Evan Gray scored on an assist from Adrian Almanza for Somerset Sky-Pointe.
