Roundup: Moapa Valley holds off The Meadows

Eden Whitmore had 22 kills, and Aria Messer had 34 assists to lead the Pirates to lead Moapa Valley’s girls volleyball team to a 25-22, 14-25, 15-25, 25-23, 15-8 home victory over The Meadows on Tuesday night.

Dannika Gordon added 11 kills for Moapa Valley, and Shelbi Walker added seven kills and three aces.

Dani Mason led The Meadows with 20 kills, 17 digs, five aces and four blocks. Beau Thistle added nine kills, nine blocks and five digs for the Mustangs, who got 33 assists, nine digs and four aces from Mira Goddard.

Centennial 3, Legacy 2 — At Centennial, Emily Anderson had 15 kills, Siara Roberts had five kills, three blocks and 38 assists and Natalie Starlin had 12 kills to lead the Bulldogs to a 19-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-16, 15-12 victory over Legacy.

Jazmyne Walker had 20 kills and 15 digs for the Longhorns, and teammate Alyssa Fuller had 24 digs.

Basic 3, Las Vegas 1 — At Las Vegas, Serenity Lomprey tallied 18 digs, five kills and five blocks, and Skylar Robbins notched 24 assists and eight digs as the Wolves battled past the Wildcats 25-12, 25-27, 25-23, 25-19.

Keonna Richardson added six kills and two blocks for Basic.

Brooklyn Stone had 28 assists, 12 digs and three kills, and Skyla Faught supplied 13 kills, seven digs and four aces for Las Vegas.

Marleahjoeline Hundley added 21 digs for the Wildcats.

Shadow Ridge 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Alysha Smith had 17 assists to power the Mustangs to a 25-11, 25-16, 25-19 win over the Mountain Lions.

Madison Norr supplied eight kills, and teammate Natalie Nihipali added six kills for Shadow Ridge.

Durango 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Tehani Faitau had 23 assists to lead the Trailblazers to a 25-17, 25-19, 25-12 win over the Aggies.

Jaylin Ellis tallied 10 digs and nine kills for Durango.

Makayla Snyder had five kills to pace Arbor View.

Palo Verde 3, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Arien Fafard notched 26 assists and nine kills in the Panthers’ 25-22, 25-14, 25-19 sweep of the Crusaders.

Mia Sadler had 11 digs, Aaliah Largusa supplied 10 kills, and Elizabeth Gutierrez added eight kills for Palo Verde.

Alexi Johnson had 18 digs, and Mary Vancura tallied 15 assists for Faith Lutheran.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Destiny Garcia recorded 20 assists, seven digs, four aces and three kills, and Natasha Obradovic tallied 10 kills, four aces and two digs as the Spartans swept the Grizzlies 25-22, 25-10, 25-22.

Michelle Mockbee had eight aces and six kills, and Andrea Aldaco supplied 13 digs and four assists for Cimarron.

Cashmere Buford notched nine digs, and Emma Lily Marple had six assists for Spring Valley, which got two kills and two aces from Simone Beane.

Bonanza 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Sydney Dunn had 18 assists, nine digs, three blocks and two aces to lead the Bengals to a sweep of the Diamondbacks, 25-15, 25-19, 25-11.

Zhanna Colin added eight kills and five aces for Bonanza. Laityn Sarna had 10 assists, and Remy Seumalu notched eight digs and four kills for Desert Oasis, which got five kills from Sophia Parlanti.

Boulder City 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Virgin Valley, the Eagles coasted to a 25-20, 25-19, 25-11 victory over the Bulldogs.

Taylor Barnum had nine kills and 14 digs for Virgin Valley, and Jessica Barnum added eight kills and nine digs.

Somerset-Sky Pointe 3, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Ellie Barrus had nine kills and 14 digs, and Katie Piet added 11 kills to lead the Eagles to a 25-13, 25-9, 25-22, 25-23 win against Chaparral.

Tuvaelagi Mann posted four aces for Somerset-Sky Pointe.

Alyssa Porras led Chaparral with nine kills and 12 assists. Alexandria Williams added six kills and three aces for the Cowboys, and teammate Ursula Ardon had four kills.

Tech 3, Del Sol 0 — At Tech, Makenna Faught had 17 assists, seven aces and six digs to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-5, 25-16, 25-15 win over the Dragons.

Kaitlyn Cook had eight kills, and teammate Kaitlyn Harvey supplied nine digs for Tech. Kayla Cook added six digs and four kills for the Roadrunners.
