Roundup: Liberty comes back to beat Las Vegas

Tehani Tapuala notched 35 assists and 25 digs, and Liberty’s volleyball team rallied from down two sets on the road to defeat Las Vegas by a score of 25-27, 23-25, 25-10, 25-17, 15-1 Tuesday.

Alexandra Farnsworth supplied 13 kills, 11 digs and five aces for Liberty, which got 21 kills and six digs from Kayla Watanabe.

Brooklyn Stone had 32 assists and 12 digs, and Skyla Faught added 17 kills and 16 digs for Las Vegas. Robyn Galvez put up 18 digs, and Zoe Johnson tallied 10 digs and eight kills for the Wildcats.

Basic 3, Rancho 1 — At Basic, the Wolves outlasted Rancho for a 17-25, 25-16, 25-20, 29-27 victory.

Kiara Richardson had 31 kills and 10 digs, Skylar Robbins had 38 assists and 18 digs, and Serenity Lomprey had 8 kils, four aces, 16 digs and three blocks for Basic.

Taylor Ewing had 15 kills and five blocks, and Mia Suzuki added 17 kills for Rancho.

Mojave 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, the Rattlers cruised to a 25-17, 25-13, 25-15 victory over the Jaguars.

Alexis Otto had 34 assists and Sierra Orton added 10 kills for Mojave.

Mireyah Ortiz had one kill and four blocks, and Arlyn Figueroa had seven blocks for Desert Pines.

Pahrump Valley 3, Western 0 — At Pahrump, Jacqueline Stobbe recorded 20 assists and eight aces, and Elaina Dattillio put down eight kills as the Trojans swept the Warriors 25-11, 25-17, 25-12.

Nicky Velazquez tallied seven kills and Kylie Stritenberger added five kills for Pahrump Valley.

Destiny Dobiesz had six assists and Andriana Jones tallied two kills and two aces for Western.

Green Valley 3, Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Lana Benson had six aces and five kills and Abby Olsen notched 20 assists and three blocks as the Gators overwhelmed the Vikings 25-9, 25-7, 25-2.

Julia Whiting-Reed added five kills for Green Valley.

Kiarra Brown had three kills and Gabriella Morales supplied two kills for Valley.

Coronado 3, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, Madison Karcich supplied 12 digs and eight kills as the Cougars downed the Skyhawks, 25-23, 25-22, 25-16.

Megan Wang had 17 digs, and Cassandra Smits-Van Oyen tallied 15 kills for Coronado. Sasha Bolla added eight kills for the Cougars.

Sydney Berenyi had 15 kills and 10 digs to pace Silverado, which got 10 digs from Kui’Puha Untalan.

Foothill 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Whitley Brow contributed 12 digs and 11 kills in the Falcons’ 25-9, 25-10, 25-12 sweep over the Pioneers.

Brooklyn Wiedenheft had 13 assists and eight aces, and Laynee Truscott dished out 18 assists for Foothill.

Jeanette Fine had eight digs, and Jaiden Guy supplied four blocks to pace Canyon Springs.

Cheyenne 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Desert Shields rolled to a 25-19, 25-16, 25-12 win against the Miners.

Tonopah 3, Big Pine (Calif.) 0 — At Big Pine, California, the Muckers swept the Warriors, 25-18, 25-17, 25-23.

Indian Springs 3, GV Christian 0 — At Indian Springs, the Thunderbirds beat the Guardians.

Abigail Johnson had three kills and six digs to lead GV Christian.
