Roundup: Faith Lutheran wins twice in Arizona

Faith Lutheran’s boys soccer team coasted to a 6-0 win over Show Low (Arizona) and a 4-0 win over Blue Ridge (Arizona) on Saturday morning to claim championship honors at the Show Low Invitational.
Elijah Bethard, Aibgay Gomez, Abel Mendoza, Blake Millero, Gabriel Miranda and Terrence Thibedi all scored goals against Show Low.
Miranda scored twice, and Mendoza and Derek Heinish scored against Blue Ridge.
London Amick started in net for the Crusaders and posted two shutouts.
Chaparral 8, Kirtland Central (N.M.) 0 — At Show Low, Arizona, Marcos Handerman had two goals and two assists as the Cowboys routed the Broncos in the Show Low Invitational.
Miguel Mendoza had a goal and two assists, and Carlos Morales and Hugo Salgado each added a goal and an assist for Chaparral, which also got goals from Luisangel Fernandez, Gabriel Caro and Adan Alvarez-Huitron.
Silverado 8, St. Johns (Ariz.) 0 — At Show Low, Arizona, David Matias-Flores recorded a hat trick to lift the Skyhawks to a decisive victory over St. Johns.
Zach Jenkins added two goals, and Jaime Ayala, Sunil Subba and Conner Barlow all scored as well.
Dustyn Weber made three saves in the shutout victory.
Silverado 5, Snowflake (Ariz.) 0 — At Show Low, Arizona, Conner Barlow scored a pair of goals to lift the Skyhawks to a shutout victory over Snowflake.
David Matias-Flores had a goal and two assists, and Angel Ramirez and Payton Randall added goals for Silverado.
Dustyn Weber and Josh Vigil combined to post a shutout.
Chaparral 4, Green Valley 2 — At Show Low, Arizona, Miguel Mendoza and Bryan Macias each scored twice to help the Cowboys overcome an early 1-0 deficit and defeat the Gators in the Show Low Invitational.
Green Valley 2, Blue Ridge (Ariz.) 0 — At Show Low, Arizona, the Gators defeated Blue Ridge.
