Roundup: Last-minute breakaway gives Bonanza win over Durango

Jonas Bryant scored on a breakaway in the final minute Thursday to lift Bonanza’s boys soccer team to a 2-1 road victory over Durango.

Efrain Mayorga, who assisted on Bryant’s goal, scored on a penalty kick in the 65th minute to tie the game.

Jaime Munguia scored in the first half for Durango.

Coronado 3, Palo Verde 1 — At Coronado, John Lynam had two goals and an assist to lead the Cougars past the Panthers in a battle of region powers.

Alfredo Diaz added a goal and an assist for Coronado, which led 1-0 at halftime.

Tanner Stevenson scored for Palo Verde, which was undefeated and ranked No. 1 in this week’s coaches poll.

Sierra Vista 1, Spring Valley 0 — At Sierra Vista, Jadon Jeffery scored off an assist from Jared Prescia with 10 minutes remaining to lift the Mountain Lions over the Grizzlies.

Donovan McCree made three saves in the shutout.

Tech 0, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, the Roadrunners and Dragons played to a scoreless draw.

Yobani Garcia-Benitez earned the shutout in goal for Tech.

Jesus Gallardo was in goal for Del Sol.

Valley 3, Silverado 1 — At Valley, Carlos Mendez, Samuel Milenge and Jesse Mako each scored a goal in the Vikings’ victory over the Skyhawks.

Anthony Navarro-Marquez had two assists for Valley, which led 2-1 at halftime.

Angel Ramirez scored Silverado’s goal.

Foothill 4, Rancho 1 — At Foothill, Isaac Olsen scored twice to lead the Falcons over the Rams.

Stanley Henderson added a goal and an assist for Foothill, which led 1-0 at the half.

Colin O’Reilly had a goal for the Falcons, and teammate Dylan Verrastro had two assists.

Angel Cipres scored for Rancho.

Canyon Springs 4, Green Valley 0 — At Canyon Springs, Edgar Donate and Edgar Muniz each supplied a goal and an assist as the Pioneers shut out the Gators.

Jose Gonzalez and Ramon Urias-Medina also scored for Canyon Springs.

Goalkeepers Miguel Duenas and Jorge Flores combined on the shutout for the Pioneers.

Las Vegas 3, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Daniel Rangel had a goal and an assist to lead the Wildcats past the Patriots.

Nathan Zamora and Misael Garcia also scored for Las Vegas, which led 1-0 at halftime.

Ben Stang scored for Liberty.

Bishop Gorman 7, Clark 0 — At Clark, Jose Segura scored two goals, and the Gaels had seven second-half goals to run away from the Chargers.

Vincent Turk supplied a goal and an assist for Gorman. Hayden Madsen, Michael Bonifazio, Diesel Fiore and Aidan Yamachika also scored for the Gaels.

Chaparral 8, Somerset-Sky Pointe 0 — At Chaparral, Alexander Caro scored three goals as the Cowboys blanked the Eagles.

Osbaldo Espinoza scored two goals, and Miguel Mendoza had a goal and two assists for the Cowboys.

Carlos Morales added a goal and an assist, and Hugo Salgado scored a goal for Chaparral, which also got two assists from Bryan Macias.

Goalkeeper Gerardo Wence had one save in the shutout.

Eldorado 5, Basic 0 — At Eldorado, Jose Benitez, Eduardo Salazar and Roberto Soto each had one goal and one assist to lead the Sundevils past the Wolves.

Sebastian Ramirez and Alex Mayorga each added a goal for Eldorado, which scored all of its goals in the second half.

Hector Lopez recorded the shutout with three saves.
