Roundup: Rainee Brito’s four goals power Virgin Valley over Las Vegas

Freshmen Rainee Brito scored four goals as the Virgin Valley girls soccer team picked up a 4-2 home victory over Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Alejandra Camacho, Kari Wakefield, Madison Cheney and Kallie Graves each had an assist for Virgin Valley.

Atziri Avila had a goal and an assist to lead Las Vegas, which got a goal from Maria Hernandez.

Faith Lutheran 1, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Riley Divich scored the winning goal on an assist from Madison Sonerholm with 23 minutes left as the Crusaders edged the Mustangs.

Goalkeeper Naia Mesalic had eight saves and got the shutout for Faith Lutheran.

Western 4, Cheyenne 2 — At Western, the Warriors jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead and defeated the Desert Shields.

Caro Acosta, Angela Corona-Perez, Kayla Tapanes and Gissell Rodriguez each had a goal for Western. Devany Marroquin added two assists for the Warriors.

Yadira Erives and Maria Borrero each had a goal for Cheyenne.

Arbor View 8, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Arbor View, Deja Erickson scored three goals as the Aggies blanked the Spartans.

Jolianna Meyers had a goal and two assists, and teammates Sierra Vicente and Hannah Ferrara each contributed a goal and an assist for Arbor View. Kelly Larosee also scored for the Aggies.

Goalkeepers Krytsin Cooper and Jillian Hudson combined for the shutout for Arbor View.

Pahrump Valley 16, Desert Pines 0 — At Pahrump, Kaitlyn Carrington had five goals and an assist as the Trojans routed the Jaguars.

Sydney Dennis notched three goals and an assist, and Kathy Niles and Makyla Gent each scored three goals for the Trojans.

Angelica Garcia and Madelyn Souza each supplied a goal and an assist, and goalkeeper Alyvia Briscoe got the shutout.
