Roundup: Green Valley holds off Valley

Daria Shalina went 3-0 in singles to lift Green Valley’s girls tennis team to a 10-8 victory over Valley on Wednesday afternoon.

Olivia Nhaisi and Stella Chong went 2-0 in doubles for Green Valley.

Durango 11, Eldorado 7 — At Durango, Averiana Mitchell and Breanna Bui both went 3-0 in singles play to help the Trailblazers top the Sundevils.

Maggi and Matti Concannon went 3-0 in doubles for Durango.

Heather Holman and Jessica Samano-Ramirez went 2-0 in doubles for Eldorado.

Liberty 12, Las Vegas 6 — At Las Vegas High, Alexis Jones was 3-0 in singles as the Patriots defeated the Wildcats.

Jada White and Arianna Castor finished 3-0 in doubles for Liberty.

Basic 11, Rancho 7 — At Basic, Mikayla Berg and Tjaden Giles each finished 3-0 in singles to help the Wolves defeat the Rams.

Audrey Arnold and Anakaren Martinez teamed to go 3-0 in doubles to pace Rancho.

Cheyenne 15, Adelson School 3 — At Adelson School, Kennedy Vincent was 3-0 in singles play to power the Desert Shields past the Lions.

Moapa Valley 12, Tech 6 — At Overton, Lillian Leavitt and Morgan Aikele went 3-0 in doubles to help the Pirates best the Roadrunners.

Jurnie Crawford was 3-0 in singles for Moapa Valley.

Sandra Lu and Jacqueline Pacheco went 2-1 in doubles, and Ildea Cinco was 2-1 in singles for Tech.

Coronado 18, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, Hannah Grossman went 2-0 in singles to help the Cougars blank the Skyhawks.

The doubles teams of Mina McCormick and Taylor Inholt, and Megan Balmer and Rayne Hayes both went 2-0 for Coronado.

Foothill 18, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Falcons swept the Pioneers.

Virgin Valley 12, Del Sol 0 — At Mesquite, the Bulldogs defeated the Dragons by forfeit.
