Roundup: Olivia Packer, Palo Verde hold off Faith Lutheran

Olivia Packer scored two goals to help the Palo Verde girls soccer team hold off host Faith Lutheran, 3-2 on Wednesday.

Carlee Giammona also scored for the Panthers.

Riley Divich had both of Faith Lutheran’s goals.

Sunrise Mountain 1, Western 1 — At Western, Alexandra Trinidad scored in the 78th minute to give the Miners a tie with the Warriors.

Kayla Tapanes scored for Western.

Eldorado 1, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Dina Goc-Ong made nine saves as the Sundevils shut out the Pioneers.

Eldorado’s Isabella Sama scored the game’s lone goal.

Bishop Gorman 3, Centennial 0 — At Gorman, Taylor Cox, Alexa Fehlman, Samantha Nieves each scored a goal to lift the Gaels over the Bulldogs.

Jacqueline Gourley had two assists for Gorman, which led 2-0 at halftime.

Kirsten Kircher and Hannah Lee each had a save and split the shutout.

Shadow Ridge 6, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Camryn Grant had two goals and an assist to help the Mustangs top the Spartans.

Kaitlyn Banks added a goal and two assists, and Samantha Villa had a goal and an assist for Shadow Ridge.

Abigail Mendez and Taylore Simmons each scored a goal for the Mustangs, who led 3-0 at the half.

Goalkeeper Cassandra Tolton made three saves to get the shutout.

Las Vegas 10, Valley 0 — At Las Vegas, Atziri Avila scored three times as the Wildcats rolled past the Vikings.

Maria Hernandez and Leslie Garcia each added two goals, and Brinkley McCoy had a goal and four assists for Las Vegas.

Ana Parra-Carmona had a goal and an assist, and Minerva Galindo also scored for the Wildcats.

Anna Bowen had three assists, and goalkeeper Larina Ibarra made three saves in the shutout.

Cheyenne 7, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Yadira Erives and Emely Torres each scored three goals as the Desert Shields defeated the Rattlers.
