Outlook: Smith was the runner-up in last year’s Sunrise Region meet and leads a group of five returnees for the Gators, who qualified for the state meet last season.
Rivera (11th), Leehey (12th) and Anderson (16th) also finished in the top 16 in the region meet last year.
“This young but experienced team hopes to build on its race foundations and return to the state meet in Reno,” Beam said.
