2017 Shadow Ridge Girls Cross Country Capsule

SHADOW RIDGE

League: Class 4A Northwest

Head coach: Andy Flynn, fifth season

Returning letter winners: Four

Top athletes: Tiana Jones (Sr.), Amanda Simpson (Jr.), Caitlin Robles (Jr.)

Outlook: The Mustangs return only four letter winners after qualifying for the Class 4A state meet last year.

Simpson (28th) and Jones (35th) each finished in the top 35 of the Sunset Region meet last year.

“Shadow Ridge cross country is looking forward to an exciting season,” Flynn said. “The girls are led by senior Tiana Jones and junior Amanda Simpson, both returning from last fall’s state qualifying team. They are backed up by new and returning faces eager to add another year of rich tradition and victory to Shadow Ridge cross country.”
