Roundup: Virgin Valley tops Eldorado in opener

Tanner Howard posted a 3-0 mark in singles to guide Virgin Valley’s boys tennis team to an 11-7 road victory over Eldorado on Thursday.
Adam Teschner and Logan Hendrick went 3-0 in doubles for the Bulldogs.
Desert Pines 11, Moapa Valley 7 — At Overton, Kevin Giron and Adan Cano each went 3-0 in singles to help the Jaguars down the Pirates.
Jose Ruiz and Alfredo Murillo teamed up to go 3-0 in doubles for Desert Pines.
Boulder City 17, Basic 1 — At Boulder City, the Eagles dominated Basic for their first victory of the season.
Breton Erlanger, Andre Pappas and Sam O’Berto all went undefeated in singles play. Three Boulder City doubles pairings also posted undefeated records.
The Meadows 12, Faith Lutheran 6 — At The Meadows, the defending Class 3A state champions topped Faith Lutheran in their season opener.
Daniel Pereira posted a 3-0 singles record for the Mustangs, and Ethan Lee went 2-1.
