Roundup: Eldorado wins tiebreaker to down Virgin Valley

Jessica Samano-Ramirez was 3-0 in singles play, and Eldorado’s girls tennis team won the tiebreaker 5-1 to defeat visiting Virgin Valley 10-9 on Thursday.
Heather Holman and Devyn Swain finished 3-0 in doubles for Eldorado.
Talia Hansen went 2-1 in singles to lead Virgin Valley.
Boulder City 13, Basic 5 — At Boulder City, the No. 3 doubles pairing of Olivia Leavitt and Jillian Gentz went 3-0 to lift the Eagles to a win in their season opener.
Boulder City No. 1 singles player Tegan Pappas also went 3-0.
Desert Pines 10, Moapa Valley 8 — At Overton, Yazaret Arredondo and Veronica Palacios went 3-0 in doubles play to help the Jaguars edge the Pirates.
Brie Perkins finished 2-1 in singles for Desert Pines.
Sara Udall was 3-0 in singles to pace Moapa Valley.
Faith Lutheran 11, The Meadows 7 — At The Meadows, the Crusaders upended the defending Class 3A state champion Mustangs in the season opener. Jade Mayweather, Summer Stadtlander and Kennedy Barr all went 2-1 in singles for Faith Lutheran.
