Roundup: Strong doubles leads Valley past Basic

The doubles teams of Annelisa Laizure and Ruby Valencia, and Deanine Dilworth and Catarina Guedes-Almeida both went 3-0 to lead Valley’s girls tennis team to a 10-8 home victory over Basic on Wednesday.

Tjaden Giles posted a 3-0 record in singles for the Wolves.

Arbor View 13, Legacy 3 — At Legacy, Kahlea Kimoto and Mathilde Lecrigny each went 3-0 in singles to power the Aggies by the Longhorns.

Bishop Gorman 18, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Gorman, the doubles team of Madison Winston and Courtney Wolfson went 3-0 to help the Gaels blank the Spartans.

Palo Verde 16, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Caroline Hsu and Kaya Richardson each went 2-0 in singles play to help the Panthers top the Mustangs.

Sierra Vista 11, Spring Valley 7 — At Sierra Vista, Andrada Stanciu and her sister Ariana Stanciu each went 3-0 in singles play to help the Mountain Lions down the Grizzlies.

Cheyenne 11, Rancho 7 — At Rancho, Kennedy Vincent and Ludovica Piccioli each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Desert Shields over the Rams.

Marjorie Carter and Anakaren Martinez finished 3-0 in doubles for Rancho.

The Meadows 14, Mojave 4 — At Mojave, Lindsey Hofflander was 3-0 in singles as the Mustangs defeated the Rattlers.

Clark 11, Centennial 7 — At Centennial, Alysandra Smith posted a 2-1 record in singles play to lead the Chargers past the Bulldogs.

Talia Williams and Ashlee Weger went 2-1 in doubles for Centennial.

Bonanza 12, Durango 6 — At Durango, Maris Nelson and Madi Cherry went 3-0 in doubles as the Bengals defeated the Trailblazers.

Averiana Mitchell was 3-0 in singles for Durango.

Faith Lutheran 13, Desert Oasis 5 — At Desert Oasis, Kennedy Barr finished 3-0 in singles to help the Crusaders defeat the Diamondbacks.

Kelsie Seigle and Courtney Martin went 2-0 in doubles for Faith Lutheran.

Karina Damian was 2-1 in singles for Desert Oasis.

Liberty 14, Canyon Springs 1 — At Liberty, the Patriots rolled past the Pioneers.

Adelson School 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Adelson School, the Lions defeated the Miners by forfeit.

Desert Pines 12, Western 0 — At Western, Desert Pines defeated the Warriors by forfeit.
