Roundup: Silverado outlasts host Sierra Vista in five sets

Sydney Berenyi had 25 kills and 17 digs to lead Silverado’s girls volleyball team to a 22-25, 25-14, 25-13, 21-25, 17-15 road win over Sierra Vista on Wednesday.

Brielen Aquino added 49 assists and five aces for the Skyhawks. Catherine Coty and Audrey Wood had 11 and 10 kills, respectively, and teammate Kui-Puha Untalan had 22 digs.

Shantelle Demirgian led Sierra Vista with 12 kills six aces and six digs. Mackenzie Bowlen added 17 assists and six digs for the Mountain Lions, who got 15 assists, eight digs and two aces from Zoey Kriethe.

Foothill 3, Centennial 2 — At Foothill, Laynee Truscott had 28 assists, 11 digs and four aces, and Whitley Brow notched 18 kills, 12 digs, and two aces as the Falcons held off the Bulldogs, 21-25, 25-17, 26-28, 25-14, 15-13.

Riana Blount added 14 digs, five kills and five blocks for Foothill.

Siara Roberts led Centennial with 50 assists, 15 digs, five kills and two aces. Emily Anderson had 19 kills, 14 digs, and two aces, and Natalie Starlin had 18 digs, 14 kills and three aces for the Bulldogs.

Bonanza 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Bonanza, the Bengals gutted out a 25-21, 25-17, 25-18 victory over the Wildcats.

Zhanna Colin had 15 kills and two blocks, Sydney Dunn added 16 assists and eight digs and Sydney Evelyn Harner had four aces and five dogs to lead Bonanza.

Skyla Faught led Las Vegas with 10 kills, and teammate Victoria Barney had 10 assists.

Liberty 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Liberty, the Patriots rolled to a 25-18, 25-10, 25-23 victory over the Diamondbacks.

Alexandra Farnsworth had 10 kills and five digs, and Tehani Tapuala had 24 assists and seven digs for Liberty.

Remy Seumalu had seven kills, three aces and 12 digs, and Sophia Parlanti had five kills and five digs for Desert Oasis.

Rancho 3, Tech 0 — At Rancho, Kennedee Jones had nine kills, and Taylor Ewing added eight kills as the Rams cruised to a 25-13, 25-15, 25-22 victory over Tech.

Dayana Raygoza had five kills and 16 assists, and Kekai States had 12 assists and two aces for Rancho.

Makenna Faught led Tech with 10 assists and six digs.

Cheyenne 3, Del Sol 0 — At Cheyenne, Aseret Geraldo dished out 18 assists, and Leerah Hunt tallied five kills and five aces as the Desert Shields swept the Dragons, 25-16, 25-16, 25-23.

Miya Burns served six aces, and Ny’Allia Johnson supplied five kills for Cheyenne.
