Class 4A sports get league makeover for fall season

The Clark County School District confirmed this week that league formats in four sports will change for the 2017-18 high school sports season.

For the fall season, Class 4A girls volleyball and Class 4A boys and girls tennis will switch to one league in each region and play a single round-robin schedule.

The top eight teams will qualify for the playoffs in both the Sunrise and Sunset Regions.

In the spring, boys volleyball will follow suit.

Football, boys and girls soccer, and Class 3A sports were not changed.
