GOLF: Austen Ancell leads Pahrump to Sunset League win

Austen Ancell shot 2-under-par 70 to take medalist honors and lead Pahrump Valley to victory in a Class 3A Sunset League match Tuesday at Las Vegas Golf Club.
The Trojans finished with a team score of 434, and Western was second at 562.
Western’s Jared Smith shot 82 to tie for second with Mojave’s Marcus Mullins.
Pahrump’s Craig Moore was fourth at 87, followed by teammate Koby Lindberg (90).
Matthew Manganello rolls to Northeast win
At Stallion Mountain, Eldorado’s Matthew Manganello shot 3-under-par 69 to capture medalist honors in a Northeast League match.
Canyon Springs’ Dominic David was second at 86. Rancho’s Dillon Cassell and Valley’s Franz Agustin each shot 89 to tie for third.
Valley shot 555 to win the team title. Canyon Springs (594) and Las Vegas (614) were the other two complete teams.
Boulder City tops Green Valley
At Legacy, Boulder City took three of the top five spots to earn a 220-248 win over Green Valley in a nine-hole match.
Kyler Atkinson and Jackson Wright both shot 40 to tie for second for Boulder City, which got a fourth-place finish from Cade Neilson at 45.
Green Valley’s Ty Klabacka fired a 2-over 38 to earn medalist honors.
Coronado edges Bishop Gorman
At Bear’s Best, Benjamin Sawaia carded a 1-under 35 to earn medalist honors and help Coronado to a 200-202 win over Bishop Gorman.
Dylan Fritz added a 39 for the Cougars.
Gorman’s Mitchell Abbott shot 36, and teammate Adam Domaracki shot 38.
