VOLLEYBALL: Centennial pulls out third five-set win on season

Kade Frischknecht had 15 kills, three aces and eight digs, and Sam Belnap added 52 assists, two aces and 13 digs to help Centennial’s boys volleyball team hold on for a 27-25, 25-21, 24-26, 21-25, 15-9 home win over Shadow Ridge on Wednesday.

Justin Madsen had 13 kills and seven digs, and Braedon Tarone had 19 digs for the Bulldogs.

C.J. McInnis led the Mustangs with 51 assists, 12 digs and three blocks, and teammate Sebastian Campos had nine kills and two blocks.

Silverado 3, Basic 2 — At Silverado, Sean Borla had 20 digs and four aces, and Jaden Keomaka added 13 kills and three blocks as the Skyhawks turned back the Wolves, 25-20, 10-25, 25-16, 23-25, 15-13.

Devin Ross had 13 kills and two blocks for Silverado.

Matt Gajeski had 41 assists and five kills to lead Basic. Jacob Fulton had 17 kills and nine blocks, and Trevor Robbins added 12 kills, six blocks and two aces for the Wolves, who got 26 digs from C.J. Perkins.

Foothill 3, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Tanner Lester had 16 kills and seven digs to lead the Falcons to a 25-16, 20-25, 25-14, 25-22 win over the Patriots.

Richard Reid added 12 kills and eight digs, and Caleb Stearman had 24 assists for Foothill.

Lucas Husli led Liberty with 16 kills and four digs. Hugo Hernandez had 24 assists and 16 digs, and Tanner Billiu notched nine kills, four digs and two blocks for the Patriots.

Arbor View 3, Legacy 0 — At Arbor View, Treven Clizbe had 12 kills and seven aces, and Carson Driscoll added 18 assists as the Aggies swept the Longhorns, 25-15, 25-18, 25-20.

Jarred West added eight digs and two aces for Arbor View.

Christian Brown led Legacy with six assists and six digs. Creed Laws had four digs, three aces and two kills, and Dominic Harris added five kills and two digs for the Longhorns.

Palo Verde 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Palo Verde, Kainoa Villa had 19 assists and four blocks, and Josh Horn added five blocks and four kills to lead the Panthers to a 25-18, 25-14, 25-15 win over the Spartans.

Ben Brady had six kills, and Scott Solan notched four kills for Palo Verde.

Eldorado 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Adrian Evans had 13 kills and two blocks in the Sundevils’ 25-7, 25-13, 25-22 win over the Jaguars.

Tim Lawson added 22 assists and two blocks for Eldorado.

Leonel Rincon had three kills and three digs, and Joshua Moran had one ace and six digs for Desert Pines.
