2017 Bishop Gorman Boys Golf Capsule

BISHOP GORMAN

Head coach: Jim Stanfill, sixth season

Returning lettermen: Four

Top golfers: Mitchell Abbott (Jr.), Joseph Williams (Jr.)

Outlook: Abbott was a state meet qualifier last season and should be among the leaders on the squad.

“Having graduated two starting seniors after the 2016 season, open spots have brought in new players to complement the current mix of returners,” Stanfill said. “This will be a building year, getting to know and understand our new players.

“We added two freshmen, a sophomores and three seniors, all of whom will be competing to be in the top six positions.”
