BOYS VOLLEYBALL: Sierra Vista rallies to take down Rancho

Chris McCoy had 15 kills and six digs Thursday to help the Sierra Vista boys volleyball team rally to beat host Rancho, 19-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-14, 16-14.
Croix Regaint had nine kills and six digs for the Mountain Lions, and teammate Ian Alberton had 40 assists and three digs.
Brennan Berti led the Rams with 13 kills and had three blocks. Daniel Grantham had nine kills and seven digs, and Jesus Gonzalez had 17 assists and 13 digs for Rancho.
Arbor View 3, Palo Verde 2 — At Palo Verde, Treven Clizbe had 16 kills, 13 digs and five aces to help the Aggies edge the Panthers, 24-26, 26-24, 25-22, 25-27, 15-7.
Arbor View’s Brenden Wagner had 15 kills and 12 digs, and Tyreese Cole had 10 kills and two blocks. Carson Driscoll supplied 40 assists for the Aggies.
Scott Solan had 18 kills and three blocks for Palo Verde. Grant Tingey had 13 kills, Haden Van Orden had 49 assists, and Zach Nelson had 18 digs for the Panthers.
Centennial 3, Legacy 1 — At Centennial, Sam Belnap had 31 assists, 12 dig and four aces to lift the Bulldogs to a 25-21, 23-25, 25-13, 25-13 win over the Longhorns.
Braedon Tarone had 19 digs and an ace for the Bulldogs, and teammate Steven Felt had six digs and three aces. Centennial’s Cole Kahle added eight kills and six blocks.
Legacy’s Christian Brown had 11 assists, nine kills, five digs and two blocks, and Matthew Cook had 16 assists and five digs for the Longhorns.
Coronado 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Ryan Garlick had 15 digs, 10 kills and two aces to lead the Cougars to a 25-16, 25-16, 25-20 victory over the Wolves.
Stuart White and Drew Hamlin each added six kills for Coronado. Matt Wilson had 19 assists for the Cougars, and teammate Alex White had 17 assists.
Jacob Fulton led Basic with five kills and five blocks. Bryson Callister added seven kills, and Matt Gajeski had 19 assists and two kills for the Wolves.
Foothill 3, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, Tanner Lester had eight kills and eight digs to power the Falcons over the Skyhawks, 25-18, 25-23, 29-27.
Caleb Stearman added 19 assists for Foothill. Troy Bell had 15 digs, and Dallen Martineau had six kills for the Falcons.
Tyler Olson had 16 kills and two blocks to lead Silverado. Jaden Keomaka had 10 kills, and Sean Borla had 19 digs for the Skyhawks.
Green Valley 3, Liberty 0 — At Green Valley, James Reed had 20 kills and four blocks, and Cameron Hogan added 39 assists and two aces in the Gators’ 25-11, 25-12, 25-16 victory over the Patriots.
Tanner Webb had six kills and three blocks for Green Valley.
Lucas Husli led Liberty with six kills, two digs and two blocks. Hugo Hernandez had nine assists and six digs, and Dominic Merten had 12 digs for the Patriots.
Shadow Ridge 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Tanner Franklin had eight kills and nine digs, and C.J. McInnis added 27 assists, seven digs and three blocks as the Mustangs swept the Spartans, 25-22, 25-23, 25-19.
Zach Fedinec had seven kills for Shadow Ridge.
Erick Forbush led Cimarron with 10 kills and five digs. Edher Aldaco had 17 assists and six digs, and Johnathan Mika added 11 digs for the Spartans.
