Dylan Auschwitz, Bishop Gorman

The junior 160-pounder won both of his Southwest League matches and helped the Gaels to victories over Desert Oasis and Durango. He dominated, beating his Desert Oasis opponent by a 12-3 major decision and defeating his Durango opponent by a 19-4 technical fall.

Caitlin Shannon, Coronado

The sophomore quarterback completed 25 of 41 passes for 362 yards and seven touchdowns to lead the Cougars to Southeast League wins over Liberty and Silverado. Shannon also rushed for 80 yards and a score last week.

HEAD OF THE CLASS

ARBOR VIEW — Bowler Austin Garrett bowled games of 201, 203 and 195 to lead the team to victory over Centennial. Bowler Alyssa Ferarra rolled games of 179, 189 and 182 with a 550 series to lead the team to victory and clinch the division.

DESERT OASIS — Girls basketball player Mikala Kirby had eight points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 59-21 victory over Sierra Vista.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Girls basketball player Bryanna Neagle had 24 points and 14 rebounds, four assists, four steals and three blocks as the Crusaders won 76-59 over Shadow Ridge.

MOJAVE — Wrestler Sergio Salazar placed first at the Southern Nevada Invitational at 195 pounds, picking up pins in the semifinals and finals. Bowler Jodie Pauole averaged 140 in her three games to help the Rattlers to the No. 3 seed in the postseason.

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Boys basketball player Terrence Brooks had 25 points and 10 rebounds against Needles.

PAHRUMP VALLEY — Boys basketball player had 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and a steal as the Trojans beat Western, 58-54. Girls basketball player Alyvia Briscoe had 17 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals in three games for the Trojans.

PALO VERDE — Wrestler Chandler Hall won his 132-pound match against Centennial. Flag football player Betsy Bellinger had four touchdown catches and two interception returns for touchdowns in Panthers’ wins over Legacy and Centennial.

SIERRA VISTA — Boys basketball player Maka Ellis scored a school-record 52 points against Desert Oasis, 23 points against Bonanza and 27 points against Chaparral.

SHADOW RIDGE — Wrestler Alika Villiatora finished 6-0 in the Northwest League with a pin over Cimarron-Memorial and will be the top seed in the Sunset Region tournament at 132 pounds. Flag football player Samantha Milanovich led thew Mustangs to two league wins with 253 combined yards and had four touchdowns.
