First place in the Southwest League is on the line when the Gaels and Desert Oasis square off. Each team is 4-0 in league. The Diamondbacks were eliminated by Gorman in the Sunset Region semifinals last season.

Saturday — Centennial at St. Mary’s (California), 1 p.m.

The Bulldogs travel to Stockton, California, to take on the nationally ranked Rams in a game at the MLK Showcase. St. Mary’s is led by wing Aquira DeCosta, one of the nation’s top recruits in the class of 2018.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Monday — Green Valley at Coronado, 4:30 p.m.

The winner of this matchup could be on their way to getting the No. 1 seed in the Southeast League for the playoffs. The Gators are one of Southern Nevada’s hottest teams and are riding an eight-game win streak.

Tuesday — Desert Oasis at Bonanza, 4:30 p.m.

Makayla Rickard is one of Southern Nevada’s top quarterbacks and will look to give the Diamondbacks some breathing room at the top of the Southwest League. Dual-threat quarterback Brianna Hernandez-Silva will lead the Bengals.

Wednesday — Shadow Ridge at Centennial, 4:30 p.m.

The top-ranked Mustangs face last season’s CCSD champion in a Northwest League battle. Nicole Tripp-Herring, Jordan Ford and Samantha Milanovich give Shadow Ridge one of the top offenses in Southern Nevada. Centennial, meanwhile, fields one of the top defenses in the sport.
