FLAG FOOTBALL: Cimarron holds off Arbor View

Tiarra Del Rosario threw a first-half scoring pass to Alyssa Karpinski, and Haylee Nerio made a game-saving tackle as Cimarron-Memorial’s flag football team held on to edge host Arbor View 8-6 on Tuesday.

Nerio added an interception, and her tackle stopped the Aggies as they were going for it on fourth-and-goal from the 5-yard line with four seconds left.

Silverado 28, Coronado 24 — At Silverado, quarterback Kui’Puha Untalan threw a 52-yard scoring strike to Anna Phillips and ran for a TD as the Skyhawks held off the Cougars.

Victoria Bravo ran for 170 yards on 13 carries with two touchdowns, and Adiele Amarachi tallied eight sacks for Silverado, which led 13-12 at halftime.

Green Valley 26, Foothill 13 — At Green Valley, Bella Cipili completed 13 of 22 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns and added a rushing score to help power the Gators past the Falcons.

Hennessy Elkins had two receiving TDs, and Deborah Grant rushed for 91 yards and a score on nine carries for Green Valley.

Paityn Toohey had nine carries for 55 yards and a score, and Chloe Collins had three rushes for 15 yards and a TD for Foothill. Madisyn McArthur rushed for 108 yards on 11 carries for the Falcons.

Liberty 24, Basic 12 — At Liberty, Jesselyn Siores threw two TD passes to Rianna Baliza, and Christal Cordero had an interception return for a touchdown as the Patriots rallied to beat the Wolves.

Elizabeth Branigan supplied a touchdown run and a late interception for Liberty, which trailed 12-6 at halftime.

Marissa Owens ran for touchdown and threw a scoring pass to Bailey Cunanan for Basic.

Shadow Ridge 46, Legacy 6 — At Legacy, Nicole Tripp-Herring completed 11 of 16 passes for 296 yards and five touchdowns to lift the Mustangs over the Longhorns.

Samantha Milanovich had five catches for 154 yards and three TDs for Shadow Ridge, which led 26-6 at halftime.

Bianca Rodriguez-Willrich had nine tackles, a sack and two interceptions — one of which was returned for a score — to lead the Mustangs defense.

Tah’naja Perry had 134 yards rushing and a TD for Legacy.

Centennial 18, Palo Verde 15 — At Palo Verde, the Bulldogs stormed to a 18-0 halftime lead before holding on in their win over the Panthers.

Mojave 12, Western 7 — At Mojave, Marilyn Membreno had a 55-yard touchdown run, and teammate Anahi Rosales added a 2-yard TD rush, as the Rattlers held off the Warriors.

Rosales had seven tackles on defense, and Carol Morrow tallied six tackles for Mojave.

Fabray Elam rushed for 215 yards and a touchdown to lead Western. Alejandra Alvarez-Torres added 11 tackles for the Warriors.

Desert Pines 19, Sunrise Mountain 6 — The Jaguars scored 13 second-half points to break a halftime tie and down the Miners.
