BOYS BASKETBALL: Needles boys win twice in Mohave Shootout

Dillon Darrow had 16 points, six assists and five steals Tuesday as Needles’ boys basketball team rolled to a 62-29 win over Odyssey Institute (Arizona) in the Mohave Holiday Shootout in Bullhead City, Arizona.
Irving Juarez added 13 points, and Marcus Mills scored 12 for Needles, which outscored the Minotaurs 37-16 in the second half to move into the tournament semifinals.
Needles 39, Kofa (Ariz.) 30 — At Bullhead City, Arizona, Trey Tsosie had 12 points a the Mustangs held off the Kings in the Mohave Holiday Shootout.
Jayden Yeager added nine points for Needles.
Jaremy Smith led Kofa with 15 points.
Pahranagat Valley 52, Lincoln County 44 — At Alamo, Tabor Maxwell and Culen Highbe each had 17 points to power the Panthers past the Lynx.
Pahranagat Valley took a 33-16 halftime lead.
Kevin Mathews led Lincoln County with 13 points.
Findlay Prep 87, Kahuku (Hawaii) 43 — At Honolulu, P.J. Washington had 19 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and six steals to lead the Pilots to the win in the semifinals of the Iolani Classic.
Lamine Diane added 19 points, and Justin Roberts scored 14 for Findlay Prep, which led 44-17 at the half.
