Incline rolls to 2A golf title

Incline’s girls golf team had the top two individual finishers on the way to the team title at the Class 2A state golf tournament on Tuesday at Championship Course in Incline Village.

The Highlanders shot 419 on Tuesday to finish with a two-day total of 872. Sierra Lutheran was second at 956, and West Wendover finished third at 961.

Incline’s Kennedy Cohn shot 88 on Tuesday to hold her first-round lead and win the individual title with at 34-over-par 178.

Her teammate, Christine Schwartz, also shot 88 Tuesday and finished second at 183.

Mountain View’s Kristine Horita was the top local finisher. She placed fifth at 213.
