BOYS SOCCER: Tesfu Mebretom’s goal gives Clark win over Desert Oasis

Tesfu Mebretom scored in the 60th minute Thursday to lift Clark’s boys soccer team to a 1-0 road win over Desert Oasis.

Ben Harris assisted on the goal for the Diamondbacks.

Goalkeeper Tristan Polakowski had five saves to preserve the shutout.

Del Sol 1, Tech 1 — At Tech, Ruben Ortiz scored on an assist from Jesus Gallardo midway through the second half to give the Dragons a tie with the Roadrunners.

Joel Velazquez scored on an assist from Andres Santana early in the second half for Tech.

Coronado 3, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, John Lynam had three goals to lead the Cougars over the Skyhawks.

Grant Smyth added two assists, and Harrison Skinner made three saves to get the shutout.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Dresdan Quackenbush had a goal and two assists as the Spartans blanked the Longhorns.

Arturo Bahena and Philip Obradovic each added a goal for Cimarron.

Leeor Brounchtine made four saves to get the shutout.

Bonanza 2, Sierra Vista 1 — At Bonanza, Efrain Mayorga and Jonas Bryant each scored in the first half to lift the Bengals over the Mountain Lions.

Zekarias Kassaye scored in the second half for Sierra Vista.

Liberty 6, Basic 0 — At Liberty, Keanu Sanchez had three goals and an assist to help the Patriots blank the Wolves.

R.J. Soriano had two goals and an assist, and Dylan Farmer had a goal and an assist for Liberty.

Ivan Rodriguez made one save to get the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 4, Spring Valley 3 — At Gorman, Justin Rasmussen scored twice to lead the Gaels past the Grizzlies.

Spring Valley’s Jose Lopez had two goals, and teammate David Van Hoose had a goal and two assists. Dominic Velasco added an assist for the Grizzlies.

Chaparral 7, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Ivan Topete had two goals and an assist as the Cowboys cruised to an easy win over the Pirates.

Ramiro Alvarado supplied a goal and two assists, and teammates Gerardo Perieda and Alexander Caro each added a goal and an assist for Chaparral.

Alejandro Mota and Ray Ochoa also scored for Chaparral.

Western 4, Eldorado 2 — At Western, David Ginsburg had two goals and an assist as the Warriors defeated the Sundevils.

Juan Estrada scored twice for Western. Gustavo Sanchez had two assists, and Angel Gutierrez-Montes had an assist for the Warriors.

Andres Mendoza and Mario Rocha each scored a goal for Eldorado.

Palo Verde 3, Valley 1 — At Valley, Presten Manthey supplied two goals and an assist to power the Panthers past the Vikings.

Henry Robledo-Matadamas added a goal and an assist for Palo Verde, which got an assist from Kyle Buonto.
