GIRLS TENNIS: Doubles teams help Palo Verde top Faith Lutheran

The doubles teams of Abby Lewis and Kaya Richardson, and Isabella Shelton and Brooklynn Harris each went 3-0 to help Palo Verde’s girls tennis team to an 11-7 win over visiting Faith Lutheran on Thursday.

Shelby Graber was 2-1 in singles for Palo Verde.

Cira Faso went 2-1 in singles for Faith Lutheran.

Virgin Valley 10, Tech 8 — At Tech, Emily Leavitt went 3-0 in singles to lead the Bulldogs past the Roadrunners.

The doubles team of Haley Allen and Emma Wilson also went 3-0 for the Bulldogs.

Boulder City 11, Moapa Valley 7 — At Boulder City, Tegan Pappas was 3-0 in singles as the Eagles topped the Pirates.

Natalie Bowman went 2-1 for Boulder City, and the doubles team of McKenna Frazier and Kyra Yamamoto finished 2-1 for the Eagles.

Moapa Valley’s doubles team of Morgan Aikele and Lillian Leavitt went 3-0, and Lindsey Leavitt was 2-1 in singles for the Pirates.

Valley 13, Eldorado 5 — At Valley, Alexandra Jianu and Annelisa Laizure each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Vikings past the Sundevils.

The doubles team of Claire Angel and Alexandra Angelov also went 3-0 for Valley.

Heather Holman and Jessica Samano-Ramirez were 2-1 in doubles for Eldorado.

Rancho 13, Canyon Springs 5 — At Rancho, the doubles teams of Audrey Arnold and Gerra Licup, and Vesna Blanusa and Elizabeth White each went 3-0 to lead the Rams past the Pioneers.

Lorena De La Torre and Amy Moreno went 2-0 in doubles for the Rams.

Bishop Gorman 16, Durango 2 — At Gorman, Angelique Friedrich went 2-0 in singles to help the Gaels top the Trailblazers.

Sadie Klassen and Emma Thompson went 2-0 in doubles for Gorman, as did the team of Amanda Adolfo and Olivia Balelo.

A.J. Mitchell finished 2-1 in singles to lead Durango.

Clark 17, Spring Valley 1 — At Spring Valley, Sewwandi Vithanage was 3-0 in singles, and Audrey Boch-Collins went 2-0 in singles as the Chargers routed the Grizzlies.

The doubles team of Michelle Zhu and Shalini Jayaweera finished 2-0 for the Chargers.

Desert Pines 10, Adelson School 0 — At Desert Pines, the doubles teams of Shelly Alvarado and Yazaret Arredondo, and Cassandra Bueno and Midori Harper each went 3-0 as the Jaguars blanked the Lions.

Veronica Palacios went 1-0 in singles for the Jaguars.

Bonanza 10, Desert Oasis 8 — At Bonanza, Maris Nelson was 3-0 in singles as the Bengals nipped the Diamondbacks.

Chaparral 12, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, the Cowboys beat the Dragons by forfeit.
