TENNIS: Doubles team helps Spring Valley boys edge Durango

Dominic Morimando and Jared Patterson went 3-0 in doubles Saturday to lead Spring Valley’s boys tennis team to a 10-8 road win over Durango.
Cesar Castro went 3-0 in singles for the Trailblazers.
Moapa Valley 13, Tech 5 — At Overton, Chase Kruse and Chase Hadley each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Pirates over the Roadrunners.
Tyler Peterson was 2-0 in singles for Moapa Valley. Conner Batty and Darren Hardy teamed to go 2-0 in doubles for the Pirates.
Matthew Lampe and Chad Saltzman went 2-1 in doubles for Tech.
Boulder City 17, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, the Eagles routed the Cowboys.
GIRLS
Moapa Valley 11, Tech 7 — At Overton, the Pirates swept the doubles sets to top the Roadrunners.
The teams of Lindsey Leavitt and Kinzi Robinson, Morgan Aikele and Lillian Leavitt, and Averee Widdison and Felicia Perez each went 3-0 for Moapa Valley.
Spring Valley 13, Durango 5 — At Durango, Alexandria Yost went 3-0 in singles to lead the Grizzlies over the Trailblazers.
Boulder City 16, Chaparral 2 — At Chaparral, the Eagles defeated the Cowboys.
