GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Cheyenne digs out of early hole to defeat Del Sol

Maribel Mora and Lauryn Carlton each had four aces, and Cheyenne’s girls volleyball team rallied for a 19-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-23 victory over host Del Sol on Wednesday.

For Del Sol, Genessa Galibut had 19 assists and three kills, and Alena Vaoga had five kills and three aces.

Shadow Ridge 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Whittnee Nihipali had 16 kills and 12 digs in the Mustangs’ 25-21, 25-20, 26-24 sweep of the Longhorns.

Alysha Smith had 21 assists, five digs and two blocks for Shadow Ridge.

For Legacy, Myah Maxwell had 11 kills and 11 digs, and Kamaile Mendonsa had 22 assists and eight digs.

Durango 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Naomi Harris had six aces, four kills and four digs in the Trailblazers’ 25-10, 25-2, 25-9 victory over the Chargers.

Angelise Lopez had four kills and seven digs for Durango, and teammate Makenzi Abelman had 17 assists and five kills.

Bonanza 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Taryn Warner had 12 kills, and Sydney Dunn added 27 assists to help guide the Bengals to a 25-18, 25-11, 25-6 win over the Grizzlies.

Jazzyia Green added 10 digs, and Alexa Rodriguez had seven kills for Bonanza.

Cashmere Buford had 10 digs, and Danielle Amonica supplied seven assists to pace Spring Valley.

Green Valley 3, Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Carlee Becker had 10 assists and eight aces, and Emily Flowers notched six digs and five assists as the Gators swept the Vikings, 25-3, 25-21, 25-8.

Julia Whiting-Reed had four kills for Green Valley, and teammate Stephanie Evans added four digs and three kills. Maya Hill finished with three aces for the Gators.

Rebecca Barnosky led Valley with 15 assists. Kyla King had three digs for the Vikings.

Kahuku (Hawaii) 3, Coronado 0 — At Coronado, Zoe Lier had seven kills in the Cougars’ 25-10, 25-15, 25-16 loss to the Red Raiders.

Madison Karcich had six kills, and Dallas Balanay-Flores added nine assists and 12 digs for Coronado.

Liberty 3, Tech 0 — At Liberty, Alexandra Farnsworth finished with 17 kills and two aces to help the Patriots sweep the Roadrunners, 25-9, 25-17, 25-18.

Aaliyah Ward dished out 19 assists, and Ashleigh Rodriguez added five kills for Liberty.

Sierra Vista 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Shantalle Demirjian had 12 kills, 11 digs and three aces as the Mountain Lions swept the Diamondbacks, 25-15, 25-16, 25-23.

Mackenzie Bowlen had six kills and two digs for Sierra Vista, and teammate Taylor DeGuzman had four aces.

Emily Ragsdale had 10 kills, and Laityn Sarna had 18 assists to lead Desert Oasis. Kaia Rhodes had five blocks, three kills and three aces for the Diamondbacks.

Moapa Valley 3, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Overton, Eden Whitmore had 13 kills, and Kessa Evans had 24 digs to help the Pirates to a 25-8, 25-18, 25-29 sweep of the Trojans.

Madison Bush supplied 12 assists, and Shelbi Walker added six kills for Moapa Valley.

Jill Smith had nine assists, and Koral Hearn contributed five kills and four blocks for Pahrump Valley.
